Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
• CAD work from incomplete mark-ups, or from verbal instructions
• Provide independent initial set-up of drawings for the project,
(i.e. Paper and model space, and viewports) and establish
numbering system.
• Provide completion of basic design layout provided by a more
senior designer
• Provide design on repeat type projects with guidance.
• Provide technical CAD support to others, to help solve "out of
the ordinary" CAD problems
• Repair corrupt or damaged drawings.
• Site take-off for simple projects, or with a senior designer

Experience - Knowledge/Skills/Project Exposure:
• Ability to communicate clearly by telephone and in writing
• Basic knowledge of Mechanical systems and equipment
• Ability to design portions of large projects, or entire smaller
project.
• Ability to help determine drawing standards, and to teach
drafting standards to others.
• Excellent understanding of units, scale, xrefs, paper space,
model space etc.
• Basic knowledge of Mechanical design
• Ability to modify drawings without mark ups
• Ability to create sections from floor plans, incorporating
structural, mechanical and electrical information
• Ability to work in CAD without CADAmigo ( ie. Ability to
manually set up layers, line types etc. in non standard format)
- Engineering degree preferred but not mandatory.
