Job Title: Temporary Customer Service Representative

This temporary position reports to the Customer Care Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

* Set up and close out accounts in Customer Information System (CIS)
* Create final bills and prepare service orders in order to maintain Customer accounts in CIS
* Perform customer credit checks using Equifax Software
* Determine security deposit requirements on new accounts
* Provide support during CIS project and as required
* Data entry and validation of final bill meter readings
* Reception/Switchboard relief
* Other customer service support functions as assigned

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years in a customer service oriented environment having demonstrated the ability to accurately assess customer requirements
* Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent experience is required; post secondary education would be an asset
* Process oriented thinking
* Excellent telephone and communication skills combined with good interpersonal skills
* Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast paced environment
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong mathematical competence
* Proficiency in Windows-based office applications including Word and Excel as required is essential. Testing will be conducted.
* Excellent keyboarding skills and navigational skills on a PC; familiarity with ORCOM applications or customer service system would be an asset
